Meet Ron Douglas – Owner & Head Guide

Ron Douglas is the driving force behind Xtreme World Class Whitetails of Ohio, bringing decades of real-world experience, leadership, and passion to every hunt. A lifelong hunter and seasoned outdoorsman, Ron has spent more than 30 years as a professional guide and business owner in the whitetail hunting industry, building a reputation for integrity, preparation, and results.

Ron is a licensed Alaskan hunting guide (since 2005), a private pilot, and a U.S. Coast Guard–licensed charter fishing captain, with over 10 years running charters on the Great Lakes. This diverse background translates directly into the way hunts are planned and executed—meticulous attention to detail, safety-first decision making, and a deep understanding of animal behavior, terrain, and conditions.

As a lifetime member, Official Scorer, and Past President of the Flint Chapter of Safari Club International, Ron is deeply connected to the conservation and ethical hunting community. His credentials as an Official SCI Scorer ensure that trophy evaluation is done accurately, professionally, and to the highest standards.

“In November myself and  friends had the pleasure of hunting with Xtreme World Class Whitetails of Ohio. Our hunt was nothing short of incredible. Ron and Karen Douglas  greeted us with the very best hospitality. Ron eplained what to expect with our hunt and Karen was busy making us feel as family. The lodge is very nice with ample sleeping accommodations and very nice home cooked meals. The lodge is full of awesome wildlife nounts and pictures of past hunts. Very open to generating hunting stories at the end of the day.

The property is a wildlife paradise with a mix of fields and woods, rolling hills and river bottoms where giant whitetail roam.  Harvesting a 200″ plus whitetail was a dream come true! Besides my trophy deer, I really enjoyed just watching all the great animals and their interaction with each other, I honestly could sit and just watch for days on end.

Perhaps the very best part is the camaraderie amongst hunting buddies and our host!  Will definitely return for another hunt with Xtreme World Class Whitetails!! 5 stars in my book!”
